Korn feat. Amy Lee for MTV Unplugged

When I first read this I though, "hmm...that sounds pretty cool." However, after hearing it, I don't really love it. Here's how Blender.com describes it:

"On "Freak On A Leash," band members wear "creepy" animal masks, Evanescence's Amy Lee wails away for no reason and Jonathan Davis keeps repeating "go" during the overwrought tantric freak-out section like he was a high school track coach. It would be funny if everyone involved didn't take themselves so damn seriously."

Unplugged has been dead for a few years now. Maybe I made my expectations too high...kind of like when I thought the new Gwen album would be decent. Yeah, I know, beating a dead horse...What do you guys think of the video?

Gerard Way tells Kasabian singer how it is

We all know by now that Kasabian likes to start shit with people. A few months ago they unnecessarily started shit with MCR and now Gerard has thrown a barb of his own. Tom Meighan, singer for Kasabian explained MCR as,

"...ventriloquists' music. It's weird and dark. They don't have anything positive to say. The only good news is that it won't last. These clowns won't be around for much longer. Their make-up will flake off and the scene will die out. And it can't happen soon enough."

Gerard, who clearly is in no mood to play nice has rebuttled with,

"It as obviously meant as a slam, but it was so poorly worded that it ended up sounding like a compliment! 'Weird and dark'...that just makes them kinda ignorant. This band has never had a bullshit war ever. I haven't found an opponent worthy enough yet. If you're gonna take me on, you'd better have the balls for it! If you're gonna talk shit about us, you'd better have the juice. And we haven't found anyone with the juice yet."

As my fantastic partner in crime Sunshine summarized it from the beginning:

Clarissa/Sabrina weighs in on Chris Daughtry

Let's be honest, Melissa Joan Hart hasn't had a career since about the first season of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Maybe even since Clarissa Explains it All. However, she like myself, likes to give her opinion on Chris Daughtry even though we have no right to. In her MySpace blog she "outs" Chris for stealing the credit for the shitty song her husband wrote for him.

WHO CARES???

First, Chris Daughtry sucks. If you don't think so, you're infected with a disease called "American Idol-itis" and need to be looked at immediately. Secondly, who the hell cares if her husband wrote it? There are MILLIONS of song writers who don't get appropriate credit for things they do. Hell, there are lots of singers who don't get credit for singing on albums - just ask that chick from "The Weathergirls." Either way, her opinion does not matter unless she is talking about pretending to be a witch on television. End of story.

Frank is sick (MCR news)

From what I understand Frank has been forced to pull out of MCR's Japanese tour which kicked off today due to an undisclosed illness. It is said that he had a high fever and had to come back to America.

Gerard said nothing particular about him, he just said that Frank had had to go back to America and couldn't play for us because he was sick. nothing more.and the guitarist, Todd, was quite good. considering he had arrived in Japan just before(like 3hrs I guess?) the show, he was doing pretty well. give it up for him!
the show was great. they did their best in spite of Frank-lessness.I'm going to see them again on 14, so wonder if they'll play songs like The Ghost of You and songs from the first record.

Ok...when I first heard the song I wanted to give it the benefit of a doubt and now that I have watched the video I have to annouce that this shit sucks like no other.

What the hell kind of movie is this for?I'm confused and annoyed. I honestly said, "What the f**k is this?" at least 4 times while I was watching it.

Ok, so I don't think I am the specific blogger she's talking about - but I'm sure I'm not helping her case. HOWEVER...you knew there would be a however, I do have a few resolutions for her myself:

-Download spell check and use it wisely
-Take a proof-reading class at a community college
-Keep resolution about no more surgery - I'm really starting to gross Shame-free out
-Stop pretending you hang out with Paris Hilton and choose false friends with more clout - like Oprah for instance
-Stop getting surgery that make the bridge of my nose wider and not more narrow - it's rather counter productive

New HIM interview

Rock Sound conducted an interview with Ville and Mige:

On H.I.M.'s early touring:
Ville: "In Finland you can't usually play on Monday and Tuesday nights so we gigged for the rest of the week plus weekends and then returned home. We did that for about a year. At first we started in the middle of winter, driving in vans with broken heaters, everyone huddled together. We played shitty gear, roadie'd for ourselves, and got drunk every night — well, more than we do nowadays — but it was a blast."

On his pre-stage nerves:
Ville: "You have got to have butterflies. It's a positive thing; about being excited, being nervous. A lot of times I throw up. I should really eat earlier in the day so I can digest food but I just can't. At times I'm so hungry I stuff myself two hours before the gig and that's when the puking happens."

On having a friend, Antto Melasniemi, travel with the band as their personal chef:
Ville: "Antto used to travel with us in the States. He was more like a psychedelic chef as he used to get more drunk and stoned than we did. It ended up in a situation where he had all the cooking equipment needed to make a decent dinner, but got so drunk that we had to tell him to go grab a pizza for us. But it was fun."

On an incident with Finnish customs when he was 18:
Mige: "I was driving around Europe and had been to all the borders and no one had stopped me. I came to the Finnish border and there was this c**t, and they thought I was packing weed so they made me stand next to the car naked while they examined my fucking arse-crack. They kept me standing there for quite a while. I am traumatized by that."

On one band Ville would love to tour with — TYPE O NEGATIVE:
Ville: "I have met Peter Steele once or twice. The first time I was like a little boy, shivering and shaking. I was as drunk as fuck, shook his hand and ran away. The next time he was inebriated as he'd been drinking red wine. In a similar vein to CRADLE OF FILTH you never know when they are serious and when they're not. They are able to look in the mirror and laugh at themselves but not at their work. I think that's very important, whatever what you do."

Let's not beat around the bush here...I am judgemental and I make no bones about it but Scott Weiland, no matter how many drugs he does, how many times he gets arrested or how much weight he loses is adorable and I love him. He is a rockstar in the purest sense and it makes me all warm inside that he loves music enough that no matter what happens, he always comes back to it.
