Pictures of Lily Allen recently surfaced of her not only swimming topless but also going commando while in Cannes. The topless I get - who cares? They're boobs. What I don't get is the no underwear. If you choose to not wear underwear then you shouldn't sit with your legs in a high cross - you know, where your ankle rests on your opposite knee. You're really just asking for a picture of your business to be photographed. Either way, here's what she had to say about the whole thing:

Ed and I are friends , who went for lunch yesterday , thats it . It's all so sexist , i wonder how many of these male journos , had bought themselves a house by the time they were 23. I work very hard at what i do , yes I like a drink and yes I have my bad days , but that doesn't mean I'm out of control. I'm perfectly capable of looking after my self thank you very much .

I have said this before and I will say it again - I'm sure she was heartbroken when it happened but trust this - Scarlett Johansson might be younger and a popular actress but she will never be able to help him get a real acting career and she's so f*cking boring I could die. Tom Waits anyone? That album sucks ass.

Pete and Ashlee have 'Alice in Wonderland' wedding
As you know, I think they're super cheesy, however, I like the idea of an Alice in Wonderland wedding. Also, I think it has been loosely confirmed that she's pregnant. What is with all these girls getting pregnant unexpectedly and having shot gun weddings? Is there some shortage on condoms and birth control that I have not been made privy to? I wonder if they realize that just using birth control doesn't always work. Or maybe they're so busy they take it sporatically, which also doesn't work. Who knows...either way, congratulations to them and wish them all the happiness in the duration of their 2 year marriage - that's a prediction if you didn't catch that.

New Kids On The Block have resurfaced.
I was never a big NKOTB fan. Someone told me the other day they have a picture of me with one of the shirts on but when you're in the fourth grade and don't always get super trendy things, and then someone gives you something like that for your birthday, you jump at the opportunity to wear it whether you actually like them or not. Fourth graders typically don't have the idea of individuality developed at that point. Anyway, I digress. So, they were on the Today show and while it was kind of crappy and I cringed a little hearing grown men sing these songs, but at least they didn't look like a mess. Like most reunion tours at this point, it's most likely about the money, but who cares? People want to see them, they want to make money - it all works out. It's nostaligic and I wish them well.

I however think that if I were constantly at risk of having crazy photographers trying to take my pictures, of all places I would not want them to, it would be when I was sitting on the toilet.

Give it a rest already people...
It's a fact that mainstream media outlets like local newspapers, glossy magazines, etc. are having a hard time getting younger audiences to subscribe or hell, to even read it regularly for that matter. News stories like this one are a major contributor. Poor journalists writing about things they don't understand and making assumptions about bands based on their appearance and what they think lyrics mean. Taking things out of context to find a reason why someone committed suicide. Now, I don't know this girl, but did anyone think to look at what kind of parents she had, or how her childhood was - people don't commit suicide over a band. Little do they know that My Chemical Romance fight a constant battle to separate themselves from the suicide culture that has embodied 'dark' music. Journalists who see "The Black Parade" and don't realize it's in reference to a cancer patient, journalists who are total morons with a knack for making news up as opposed to fact checking. This sort of loose interpretation of the truth in magazines and newspapers is exaggerated to sensationalize it to people over the age of 40, which who I also might add are the only ones still reading their papers. The closed-minded and uneducated writing for the closed minded and uneducated. Note to parents: start listening to your kids and acting like you care more about them than you do your internet romances and maybe you won't have this problem. Yeah, I think that about covers it.

So stoked!
I can't wait for the new Batman movie to come out. While Christian Bale is doing a good job of rekindling the series (considering Val Kilmer and George Clooney almost destroyed it) no one will ever be Michael Keaton. Love him.
