hahaha - Shame-free has been reviewed!

I don’t know who this guy is but this review is hilarious. I love the analogy that the Shame-free page looks like a "vampire’s dream lair" and that my over-use of ’Link’ annoys him. Awesome. Overall he wrote pretty nice things but still gave me two sour grapes. What gives? You know though, I always wanted to be sour instead of sweet. ;)

The first comment is interesting too...clearly he didn’t read the post because it’s not technically about Rock of Love. It’s really about that guy who looks like Synyster - but what can you expect from random people on the internet? Not much.

Keep it real Jacob Nicolas - you made my night! Send me your address and I’ll send you a t-shirt. hahahahaha

Rock of Love 2 Synyster Gates doppelganger

Ok, correct me if I am wrong but does this guy or does he not look like he thinks he's Synyster Gates?I couldn't find a picture of him from the front with that hat and bandana but if you caught the episode (yes, I watch this trash) he was dead on. Below is a link to his MySpace. Not quite as close without the "ensemble" but you get the drift.

UPDATE: I wasn't going to say anything but some of you people who have posted comments are total morons (I'm looking in your direction anonymous May 21, June 15 and June 19th.) You've made it obvious you don't know what 'doppleganger' means and clearly you haven't read the blog. NO ONE IS SAYING HE ACTUALLY IS SYNYSTER YOU DUMB FUCKS. We all know Synyster has arms full of tattoos. So, you last 3 who posted anonymously - you are all officially the most stupid people who read my blog. Learn to read or shut the fuck up.

Rock Sound gets bored at work

Here is a list of band name combinations like you would see in the 'Before and After' category on Wheel of Fortune. Some are good, some are embarrassingly bad.

The Black Dahlia Murderdolls
Panic At The Disco Blood Bath
Perfect Circle Takes The Square
Thirty Seconds To Mars Volta
Machine Head Automatica
Bikini Killswitch Engage

The other ones are alright but most of them are really pushing it. Link

Any new ones you can think of? Here are a few I came up with. I don't think any of them are on there...

Luscious Jackson 5
Beastie Boys Like Girls
Fall Out Boysetsfire
Fiona Apples in Stereo
Stroke Nine Inch Nails
Rage Against The Machine Head

20 Biggest Record Company Blunders

Blender who has lately not been known to be on the up and up with their music news, i.e. the Black Crows illegitimate album review, has listed the 20 Biggest Record Company Blunders. These have facts to back them up, so I think we're safe on the believability.

ANYWAY, this is a great read if you've got 20 or so minutes. Lots of good stuff. The general list is below but click the link at the bottom to read them in detail.

#20 As grunge dawns, one label bets on hair metal

#19 The industry kills the single—and begins its own slow demise

#18 BMG dumps Clive Davis, begs him to return

#17 Thomas Edison disses jazz, industry standards

#16 Warner pays for Wilco record twice

#15 MCA’s teen-pop calamity

#14 Stax Records unintentionally gives away the store

#13 One label’s big spending single-handedly ends “alt-rock” boom

#12 Geffen pumps millions into (the nonexistent) Chinese Democracy

#11 Geffen sues Neil Young for making “unrepresentative” music

#10 Columbia Records loses Alicia Keys, drops 50 Cent

#9 “Digital-rights management” backfires even more badly than usual

Nine Inch Nails in association with their recent release of 'Ghosts' (which by the way was "free" and still grossed $1.5 million dollars with its special editions) will expand to offer a "film festival" devoted to the album to be created by fans. Now THIS is how you beat the declining record industry. He took the time to personally to sign 2500 of these special editions and got amazing results...we always knew he was a genius though, didn't we? Shame-free <3's Trent.
