Emo illegal? Only in Russia. Back in America, MCR covers Bob Dylan.

I'm skeptical of the validity of this article, so I will just preface it with that, but apparently Russia is working to make goth and emo illegal. I mean, what is this? North Korea?

Read the article here.

In related news (as you will see by the images used to represent 'emo', My Chemical Romance will be covering Bob Dylan for the film adaptation of the graphic novel, "The Watchmen."

Fashion takes on "The Wizard of Oz."

I slew of amazing designers including Gwen Stefani will be designing their own interpretation of the famous ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz in honor the 70th anniversary of the movie. Along side Gwen other famed designers such as Alberta Ferretti, Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Moschino, and Oscar de la Renta will be also re-designing the slippers to be premiered during fashion week in NY at Saks Fifth Avenue.

I know by this point the use of celebrities to represent iconic images i.e. celebrities as Disney characters , Jessica Alba doing those horror movie shots, etc. I mean, Annie Leibovitz is crazy but those pictures are amazing.

Wow...

I don't know if I am more shocked by the fact that there are three of these movies or that the same people came back to act in all three. This my friends, is the downfall of society.

J. Mascis series Jazzmaster

I recently bought myself a new guitar and it's amaaazing (said in sing-song). It called to me from across the store and I couldn't resist - and I tried. I thought about it for days and days and finally gave in. A little extravagant yes, but it was like the thing was made for me and not J. Mascis. haha

Happy 4th of July (to my American readers!) ;)

I bought the new My Chem cd/dvd, "The Black Parade is Dead." I didn't get the whole collector's set thing, however, I listened to the cd and watched some of the performance and as I am sure you all expect - it's really good. Added bonus: Apparently Ms. Sunshine is in the audience for the New Jersey show. It'll be like "Where's Waldo."
