Interview with Adam Jones of Tool

Decibel Magazine recently did an interview with Adam Jones of Tool and it's actually pretty good. Not the usual boring crap you read in interviews. Below are a few pieces of it, but the whole thing is pretty interesing.

About their anonymity: "But, I’ll tell you, it was fun selling out a 10,000-seat hockey arena and going out front to watch the opening band without anyone recognizing you."

How to look at the 10,000 days artwork: "Well, basically what you need to do is relax your eyes, and hold the viewer about a foot away from your face..."

like those Magic Eye things...anyone remember those?

About the titles of "The Pot" and "Rosetta Stoned": “The Pot” is just short for “The pot calling the kettle black.” “Rosetta Stoned” is kind of a reference to the irresponsible way to try and expand your mind through drugs."

About wierd gifts from fans: "Well, you know, being a kind of art-based band, we get all kinds of paintings and drawings and sculptures; just weird little packages with junk in them. It’s nice."

If you don't know who Adam Jones is, he's Tool's guitarist and the man behind all their cool artwork and videos.
