Snarky, *usually* up-to-date, smart-ass music news. If you are looking for pop princesses or flash-in-the-pan rappers, you have the wrong site my dear.
Gabe and crew are in Louisville tonight. I'm not going to the show because they're not headlining. I've seen them 5 times, so paying $30 to see them for a half an hour isn't really high on my list of acceptable expenses. Anyway, I am watching Twitter to see if they're boozing after the show in which case I may become a 'Hot Mess' myself. I mean, haven't all of us been like these girls at one point or another? All I can say is San Antonio, May 2006. Wow.
Courtney Love reforming Hole. New single to drop in January. Really? Is she even capable of recording music what with all the conspiracy theorizing she's been doing? Aversion

Metal Hammer celebrates 200 issues. Some of these covers are killing me! So dated. I love it. Metal Hammer
Bring Me The Horizon to remix, Suicide Season in the UK - but you smart kiddoes out there should have no problem getting your hands on a copy here in the states.
I don't think Kurt Cobain is the 'god' everyone else considers him, so I actually think this is pretty funny. I'd bet is he were here - he'd probably think it were pretty funny also.
And no, I didn't need to highlight the other chica but I didn't want her to feel left out since I highlighted everyone else. Everyone around here is important - except for Mariah Carey.
Cobra Starship and Katy Perry have filmed their VMA promos - check out the 'making of' clips below. And by the way, Gabe Saporta and Katy Perry, again, are hilarious. Oh, also, I heard that Katy and what's his face are back together. Good for them. Ahhh, young kids in love. ;)
Self Magazine Review of Katy and Cobra at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. Kind of an amateur type article really targeted at the Self Magazine type - but the clips from the show are watchable.
Flame me if you like, but I like some Third Eye Blind songs. NYMag reviewed the new album, some say it's snarky, some say it's not, but it did get UltraGrrrl in on the action, so apparently it conjured up something.
Liam Gallagher's 50 Funniest Quotes according to NME. Good shit.
The new Diablo Cody movie looks a little sketchy with the participation of Megan Fox. I know, everyone thinks she's hot shit, but in the words of my friend Ralphy from Welcome to the Dollhouse, I think she's just cold diarrhea. Anyway, the soundtrack looks like a winner with a little Cobra Starship and if what I am wishing is true, I spy a My Chemical Romance cover on there as well. Let's all cross our fingers...

The trailer for the movie. Not completely terrible, but Megan Fox is the female version of Tommy Lee Jones, Keanu Reeves and Nicholas Cage - she's good at playing Megan Fox and not much else. Oooh burn. Oh, and is it just me or is that guy with the eyeliner in the preview not super hot?
For some reason Cobra Starship ended up doing an interview with CNN.com. I'm going to attribute this to Leighton Meester being on the new album, but who knows. Anyway, it's pretty funny and from what it looks like, Gabe was partaking of some goodies prior to filming. Silly boys.
Parts 1 and 2 of a three part series of reader submitted interview questions for Cobra Starship. Each one isn't very long and is filled with the whitty banter that comprises Gabe, Ryland and Alex when they're together. Good stuff. And Gabe, I still love you even though I sent you a nasty Tweet last night. I meant it in the best possible way. ;)
I didn't even know Funeral For A Friend had been around long enough for a greatest hits album, but apparently I was wrong.
Supposedly this is a song off of Leighton Meester's new album, yes, the one from Gossip Girl and yes, the one from the new Cobra Starship single, "Good Girls Go Bad." Sounds just like everything else...
Cobra Starship's new video for Good Girls Go Bad featuring Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl. Her part in the beginning is a little gratuitous but it makes more sense towards the middle/end. I like the song better now that I have seen the video and while it is a little predictable, I actually thought it was pretty hot. Or maybe that was just Gabe. He can make me go bad anytime...but let's not fool ourselves, I'm not exactly a good girl so it probably wouldn't take too much coercing. ;)
Just listened to the new Cobra Starship song feat. Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf of Gossip Girl.) The song's titled Girl Girls Go Bad and it's not really standout, but it's good. Her vocals are fairly strong and sultry and the call and response section towards the end really makes the song catchy.
Leighton Meester of Gossip Girls may be appearing on the next Cobra Starship album. (I know you're cringing Sunshine.) Any good stalker knows that Gabe Saporta loves this show (as so I) so it only seems natural this a mash-up like this would happen. The song she'll be working on is, "I Make Good Girls Go Bad." How appropriate for Miss Blair Waldorf herself. ;)
