Ville on the cover of Rock Sound

And I'm going to scour Louisville to find one.  I hated living Cincinnati, but it did have one good thing about it - it was easy to find hard-to-find magazine.  Wah waaaah.

HIM - Heartkiller video

Life has been hectic the past few weeks so I'm a little delayed but I did get to go to New York and see Ms. S it made it all worth it.  Anyway, HIM released their video for the first single off of their new album, Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice.  Heartkiller as a song is fair but as a video is strange and has a pretty low production video but you get some good shots of Ville's new ink, skinny body, aging face and Lindes ridiculously long hair.

He's still sex on a stick and yes, I am aware it's 2010 and that saying is passe.  Don't care.

And MetalHammer gives a play by play for the tracklisting.

HIM announcing tours starting in December

Normally I would be disappointed since there isn't anything scheduled in the US (as far as I know), however, at least there is something.  Jesus Christ.  This is only the first HIM post this year and it's November.  It's like coming home again, no?  *squee*

Watch a video from about a week ago of Ville talking about the work on the new album.

F*cking sexy.  Good lord.  Oh, and the album is supposed to be out in February.  Stop it.  I can't even talk about it.  BTW - check out our Facebook to see a pic of me with the amazing Mr. Valo.

What's so impressive about a diamond...

Inapproriate music videos! nme

For every one time John Mayer is funny (yes, he can sometimes make a joke) there are 10 times that he's an idiot. nymag

Oasis is still broken up. Yahoo

For all you crazy Fall Out Boy fans and Pete Wentz stalkers - please control yourself. The level of creepy just isn't worth it. Besides, we're in a recession, remember? You crazy kids, get off my lawn! Kerrang

And ew. I love skinny boys who look like they're about to die (ahem Ville Valo) but Russell Brand is just too far. He's so.....sweaty. I don't know, just ew. NyDailyNews

In the same vein - "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band" have been beathing life into new music as well as classics.

Ville Valo feeds the haters because he like sto "stir the pot" so to speak.

Link

Secret performers for the Atticus DIY show are calling themselves, "The River People." I"m going to take a calculated guess here and say it's probably going to be Madina Lake.

Link

As Alanis prepares for the realease of her album, people just can't keep talking about Ryan Reynolds. I have said this before and I will say it again - I'm sure she was heartbroken when it happened but trust this - Scarlett Johansson might be younger and a popular actress but she will never be able to help him get a real acting career and she's so f*cking boring I could die. Tom Waits anyone? That album sucks ass.

HIM releasing live DVD

HIM will release "Digital Versatile Doom: Live at the Orpheum Theatre" on March 11th. I hate to be that guy, but HIM are pretty hit or miss live and if you don't agree you're lying. I've seen them three times and the first two it kind of sucked. Anyway, I'm sure many of you will buy this and I trust that you will be honest in your critique because if I go buy it and it sucks I'll hunt you down and grind your bones to make my bread.

Kerrang! Readers Poll 2007

The results are in however you have to read the issue to find out who won.

In the mean time, relish in the fact that Gerard Way and Jared Leto were voted Sexiest Female of 2007. hahahaha

Jared had this response:

"That's fucking hilarious!," writes Leto. "Maybe next year you guys can make an exception for Gerard and I?"..."I hope all the Kerrang! readers are great and please send them a warm happy X-Mas, boxing day, and merry kwanza from the band."

Ha!

Read more about the Kerrang! Readers Poll here and in the new issue of Kerrang! which by the way features Ville on the cover - you can't go wrong!

Some video goodness

The new video for HIM's, Bleed Well

Speaking of HIM - Rolling Stone is having readers guess who will be on the cover of their new issue. I immediately saw the scarf and thought Ville Valo but surely RR isn't hip enough to put a band like HIM on the cover...

This song is terrible. Not kind of terrible, truly awful. I mean, she uses the word "frickin'." Britney Spears: making the south look bad since 2001.

Link

Amy Winehouse vows to stay sober before and during shows on her current tour but was very clear that she had no intention of staying sober after them. I guess she gets points for being honest, right?

Link

Led Zeppelin to release digital boxed set in mid-November.

Link

Rock Sound, a day late and a dollar short reports on Ville getting knocked out by Jonna. Might I remind everyone again that this news is older than baseball. Ok, maybe not that old, but it's old.

Link

Seriously, Evan Rachel Wood getting a recording contract? Apparently they give them to anyone these days. She's a weirdo anyway. I'm sure it won't last long.

Link

Johnny Rotten likes to, as I say, "stir the pot", no?

Link

Part of me thinks this is sacreligious but the other part of me thinks that John Varvados is one of the only acceptable people to pull this off. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Interview with Ville - Avenged album in its entirety

Another video interview with Ville Valo. They mentioned this on Blabbermouth and made a crack about him getting beat up by a former girlfriend. Then explained that an "unnamed" woman blacked his eye and burst his ear drum by screaming into it. Either I am obsessesed or Blabbermouth needs to get on their game. Is this were HIM Jeopardy, this question would only be worth $400.

HIM might be in talks to write new Bond theme

Amy Winehouse has drank and drugged herself right out of singing the next Bond theme reports contactmusic.com. The singer has been dropped from talks to perform the theme for the 22nd installment in the James Bond series. I can't however say I am disappointed. Word on the street is that the producers are in talks with none other than Ville Valo to perform the song.

My first reaction was, "GET OUT! I LOVE IT!" (if you know me you know that's probably what I said verbatim.)

Thanks I. Am. Pineapple. for the heads up - you rule.
